Communicate
Practise useful English for everyday life, learning, volunteering and work.
Community learning across Liverpool and the North West
We create practical, trusted learning spaces where people strengthen their voice, build connections and move towards volunteering, work, enterprise and community leadership.
From isolation to connection.
From uncertainty to confidence.
From survival to participation.
People do not only need information. They need confidence, connection and trusted spaces to practise, belong and move forward.
Who we are
Connected Futures CIC is a social purpose organisation creating practical routes into confidence, belonging and opportunity.
We work with migrant, refugee, asylum-seeking and least-served communities through inclusive programmes that bring together English language, communication, confidence, employability, wellbeing, leadership and local systems navigation.
Where conventional systems may see limited language, networks or experience, we see knowledge, resilience, culture, ambition and potential.
Practise useful English for everyday life, learning, volunteering and work.
Speak up, recognise existing strengths and make informed choices.
Understand local services, opportunities, rights and responsibilities.
Build relationships, reduce isolation and learn alongside others.
Move towards learning, employment, enterprise, participation or leadership.
What we do
Every programme is adapted to its learners, venue and local priorities. Sessions are supportive, task-based and grounded in situations people encounter in real life.
Real-life communication for appointments, transport, schools, services, forms and local information. Suitable for pre-entry, Entry 1 and Entry 2 learners, including people with limited formal education.
More than CVs: we help people recognise their strengths, understand UK workplace culture and see themselves as capable, valuable and ready to contribute.
Calm, respectful and predictable learning environments shaped by psychology-informed and trauma-informed practice, gentle reflection and peer support.
Helping people from underrepresented backgrounds tell their story, recognise lived experience as knowledge and grow as volunteers, peer supporters and community leaders.
We co-design bespoke programmes for specific groups and places—from migrant women’s confidence programmes to English for employability, young people’s progression and social connection projects.
